4 days of travel to discover all the most beautiful sites of the Ennedi. Western facade of the Ennedi massif. Your days are articulated between walks and short transfers from one site to another. On the program: the canyons of Béchiké, the famous guelta of Archeï with its hundreds of camels that come to drink and its crocodiles, living relics of the time when the Sahara was green. Imagine the picture: cliffs more than 100 meters high form a canyon where pools are maintained by sources upstream. The camels blazed with joy and their mixed songs became a grandiose melody. An incredible show that we could contemplate for hours. Early, in the morning, you go on foot, climb on the heights to reach a point of observation from where you will have a bird's-eye view of the guelta. Not far from Archeï, you get lost in the labyrinth of Kéchéli, you admire the rock paintings of Manda Guéli, cave with the walls studded with camels and human silhouettes. Then comes a stopover in Terkeï, his "flying horsemen" and his giant cow painting. You join the huge arch of Aloba, under which we can slide Notre-Dame de Paris before concluding your visit of the Ennedi by the fabulous guelta of Bachikélé, dear to Hubert Gillet, botanist who found there, in the years 1950 trees supposed to grow only in equatorial zone. Here again the camels parade to drink, led, under the malignant glance of monkeys patas, by their fierce owners unaccustomed to meet strangers. Not to mention the dozens of places where Mother Nature has had the creative genius and where you will not fail to ravage you. All nights are planned in bivouac.
